Has someone on alchohol, meth or marijuana injured you or a rela
Alcohol is legal. Meth and marijuana are illegal. People on alcohol and meth hurt others all the time. People on marijuana don't. That's what I think, anyhow.
Has anyone on alcohol injured you or someone in your family?
Has anyone on methamphetamines injured you or someone in your family?
Has anyone on marijuana injured you or someone in your family?
For me the answer is yes to alcohol, and no to the others.

Katherine, almost by definition, being drunk is a process of defeating inhibitions within the brain. I have almost never been very drunk, and don't have a lot of experience with that, but the 2 or 3 times I've been plastered, I did not feel the urge to injure others or make racist remarks. I couldn't say exactly what is the alcohol talking and acting, and what is people's personality. People who act badly when drunk must exercise their self control before they drink.

How few words to describe such immense pain! My condolences for your loss. I wish that had not happened.
I think meth is the scariest drug, since I read of a young man cutting off his three year-old son's head coming down from meth and feeling the paranoia.
I believe that most drugs should be legal, perhaps by prescription. Meth however and PCP, I do not think have any place in society.

Its ok Josh. Its a fact that I can not change. Years pass and go, and the pain does grow less. We were 14 months apart. Sometimes it seems I had a life time with him. Then I blink and I am angry he is not here for the second half of our life. Never having your big brother to protect you, you lose a sense of security. A loss to the family as a whole, my mother and father a son, my children an uncle. So many lives effected. I could go on and on, but it would not change the fact that he is gone. I thank God for the memories..

I have met a lot of women at my work who are abused by partners because of alcohol. I don't have any personal experience though. But I saw a lot of my friend ( in college) used to smoke Marijuana nd then tell us funny stories...hilarious stories even! Never saw them getting violant.

That's what I'm saying, Roshni. The only crime marijuana leads to is the crime of marijuana. If we didn't classify it as a crime, we'd save a lot of pain and trouble. And frankly, if a lot of the violent youth around here were high on pot instead of beer, this community would be a safer place.

Cydrike, people always have and always will use drugs. A good beginning would be not to classify harmless recreational drug use as abuse. When we issue dire warnings of disaster about practices that many routinely practice without any natural consequence (smoking marijuana for example), we destroy the credibility we need to warn against highly harmful substances such as heroin, PCP, and meth.
Cydrike, it doesn't surprise me at all that people on alcohol or meth might hurt someone you knew, but I'd like to hear about the marijuana case.

It's too early to say what the damage is for a friend of mine whom is a pot addict. According to my psychiatrist brother who works one day a week at a meth clinic, he speaks terribly of marijuana as people get into their older years, he says it evidently causes clinical depression and alzheimer's. My friend is just 32 now, so we are too soon to judge.

Drinking alcohol should be put on stomach not on brain.
