Josh the only song my son asked me to skip on my playlist was the one I got from him. He's listened to his favorite artist too much.

Roshni, this photo is a wonderful example of how much better the world would be if more of us took responsibility for our defects!

I'm doing OK. Just had a great dinner. Cooked it myself. Green beans, tofu with fresh-grated ginger, fresh chopped garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, black pepper, butter and the rice was cooked with garlic, brewer's yeast, miso, and lemon grass. It was the best.
The season and the amount of work I have are getting me a little down, though.

Hi! I'm Jodi. I just read what you had on that "match me" app. I like what you had to say and I like that you are so straight foreward. I love your pic, though I have a feeling you are a lion that has been trained to chat online. lol
My name is Jodi and I live in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Just because I'm in Alabama doesn't make me a "country girl", though I do have a weakness for picnics in wheat fields.
I'm probably making a complete fool of myself so I think I'll stop now. Have a great night!

Hi, Jodi,
You sound like a very fun person. I don't know how I get into the match me, but it was a mistake. I'm not on the market.
The lion picture is because I'm seriously ugly! And yes, it took a lot of training to get me chatting online.

Y'know, I think of myself as being relatively liberal, but I just can't get behind these proposals for inter-species romance. I mean, what gives? They're women, and I'm a lion. They would be totally useless at hunting.

I'm glad you liked my journal, Katherine. It's great to have friends who pay attention to the same themes in life.

Darn it! You have penetrated my cover. How did you know? Indeed, I am hunting in the jungle. Would you like some ibex? It's raw, but good.

If you like adventure and romance, and you certainly have time on your hands, let me recommend Isabel Allende. You might like Zorro, or Daughter of Fortune.

Yes, I have seen that movie. It was exciting, but certainly grim, of course. I remember being so proud of reading the book in grade school. I didn't understand it completely, but I finished it! We Californians are very proud of having our own internationally famous Spanish language author chronicling the history of our "Golden" state.

The guy accomplished too much!! Which part are you going to focus on?...lemme know if you need some extra frogs!! :P

Frogs! Frogs? That took me a second. No, Granny, I think I have assimilated the whole Gavanism, electric shock thing.
What I was hoping to learn from Franklin was how to disagree with people without making them angry. He was good at it actually. He's kind of mythic in this country for making the Constitutional Convention successful when so many states disagreed on so much (slavery for example, or comparative power of the various states within the Federal government).
"Land of Silent Songs" as a location. I don't know whether to think that's highly poetic or horribly dismal. That could be songs subliminally present within the landscape, surging toward birth, or in contrast it might be songs that have been muffled and deadened. It could be songs sung in the mind, but not shared. Some people are really indifferent to music, others aren't. I'm part of the second group.

I was teasing you, when offered you frogs!! :) He is best known to people from countries like the one I came from for inventing electricity. We read about those frogs since we were kids. But later I came to know about him and realised what an accomplished person he was.

I thought you already possess a lot of quality which someone as accomplished as he had. You easily stand out in a crowed. But learning to disagree with people without making them angry and disappointed is a difficult thing, and one can never have enough practice of that. But then again, you can not make everyone happy! :)

"Land of siletn songs"....thats my mind. Where songs are muffled and deadened and not shared anymore. But life still goes on, my child :)

Thanks for a look at how Franklin is viewed in India. I sort of assumed that the fuss we make over him as a scientist here was just ordinary nationalism, and no one would know about that elsewhere. Hmm. Shows how much I know!
Sing a song out loud for me please. Three, actually, one for each language.

Nah, We know all about Scientiests and Philosophers. Knowing about them is part of our education, they are part of school curriculam. On the otherhand, in the UK, people know little about them. Here people are more in to celebraties than scientiests and philosophers.

All my songs are silent, how am I going to sing them out loud? I can send you some videos though..if you really wanna hear and watch songs in 3 different languages :)

How many languages do you speak, Josh?

That's great that Spanish sounds like a mixture of English and Arabic to you. There certainly is a strong element of Arabic within Spanish, in words like cerveza (beer) and many of the words starting with a or "al", such as almohada (pillow), azafrán (saffron). But English?! I would have said Spanish sounds like a mixture of Latin and Arabic.

Sorry, I can't read the link. Could you spell it out.

Here's a fun song, "I'm Still in Love" by Cucu Diamantes. She begins in Spanish, switches to English, and closes with a one-line refrain in Punjabi. She gave an interview on National Public Radio.

You only THINK you would like to hear me sing in Bangla. Well, it might give you a laugh or two.

Well, I just speak two languages, Roshni, like it says up there. English and Spanish. English from home and Spanish from school. With those two, you're almost set for this hemisphere. Unfortunately, I sing in more languages. A German friend once told me that my rendition of the Ode to Joy was incomprehensible.

If you speak English and Spanish, you have a stab at understanding a certain amount of Portuguese, too. I do okay in print, but not well with out loud. When I watched City of Men (from Brazil) on DVD, it made a lot more sense to put the subtitles in Spanish than English.

In my opinion, spanish is lovely language. Kind of a mixture of Arabic and english....thats what it sounds to me anyways!!...I always wanted to learn spanish, my brother lives in Spain, its like second home to me. May be one day...I will.

hahahaha...I would love to hear yousinging in Hindi, or in Bangla :)

Like this one...one of my most fv songs. I dore this guy too..*blush*
